An Asylum Seeker in Initial Accommodation
Acacia Path runs English language projects for many asylum seekers in their initial places of accommodation.
Each project is staffed by local volunteers who give their time, energy and love to the people they come to teach. Classes are offered at various levels with childcare provided at the family locations. Some projects have a homework club for the older children to get extra help with their school work.
All classes are offered with a goal of providing practical English that is immediately beneficial to students as well as relational connections with local people who can help students integrate into local culture.

Living in the Community
Acacia Path runs English language projects in a number of locations across the Belfast area for newcomers living in the community. These provide a safe space for you to learn English whatever your starting point. Classes run at various levels with volunteers to support you in your language learning journey.
Our classes not only provide practical English but also a community for you to be apart of. There is always time to get to know new people; people like you who new to the city or those who have lived here their whole lives.
If you live outside Belfast or we do not have a class in your area, we will happily sign post you to partnering church classes or other organisations who can help.
